At Taekwondo4Kids we split the classes into Juniors (4-7 yr olds) and Cadets (8-12 yr olds).

The Juniors follow an age-appropriate syllabus that involves games and exercises to not only help children practice the techniques of taekwondo, but also to improve their gross and complex motor skills, spatial awareness, co-ordination and social skills such as taking turns and teamwork.

They collect stickers for every class they attend and gain a new certificate every time they complete their attendance booklet (10 classes), with the option of purchasing a badge.

The Cadets are for those children (7/8 yrs and up) who would like to learn the official ITF syllabus and progress up the belt system. Classes are a mixture of games and exercises to improve co-ordination and control, techniques, pad work and syllabus such as patterns.

Gradings take place every 3-6 months and students are eligible to take the grading once they know the syllabus and can perform it competently.
