At Taekwondo4Kids we split the classes into Juniors (4-7 yr olds) and Cadets (8-12 yr olds).

Our Junior and Cadet classes are purposefully small with a maximum of 12 students per class. They are run by the instructor plus an assistant, ensuring a ratio of at least 1:6 adults to children. This means that each child is given proper attention, can develop their techniques correctly and progress well.

The Juniors follow an age-appropriate syllabus that involves games and exercises to not only help children practice the techniques of taekwondo, but also to improve their gross and complex motor skills, spatial awareness, co-ordination and social skills such as taking turns and teamwork.

The Cadets are for those children (8+ yrs) who would like to learn the official ITF syllabus and progress up the belt system.

Currently the earlier 4pm class is a combined session for both Juniors and Cadets, followed by half an hour for just the Cadets to learn their syllabus.
