Women's Self Defence
As a qualified female self defence teacher, I offer:
One-to-one sessions with a trauma-informed approach
Half-day introductory courses for groups
More intensive 6x 2hr courses (with option of a Level 2 BTEC qualification afterwards)
Tailored sessions to suit your group's particular requirements
These courses will teach you real-life, workable techniques that are easy to learn, apply and recall, against the most common types of attack such as wrist grabs, hair pulling, bear grabs and strangle holds.
The more intensive course also incorporates aspects of the law on reasonable force, how the body reacts under attack and techniques to combat this.
I take a trauma-informed approach with all my teaching, and understand that some students choose to learn self-defence after experiencing trauma themselves. As such, I take a relaxed, supportive approach where students feel comfortable and can take the learning at their own pace.

One-to-One Sessions - Taekwondo / Self-Defence
I offer one-to-one tuition in either ITF syllabus taekwondo or in self-defence, located at my home studio in Leicester or outdoors.
The lessons are tailored to students' individual needs and abilities, whether they are new to martial arts, want to build up confidence or simply want some extra practice.
All my teaching is trauma-informed which means extra care and support is taken with each student, with additional techniques to ensure students feel at ease.

Women's Martial Arts: Introduction to Taekwondo
This short course is an introduction to some of the most common techniques in taekwondo, taught by a qualified female instructor with over 14 years’ experience in taekwondo, self-defence and other martial arts.
There is no need to be fit or have any previous experience - this course is designed as a taekwondo taster for absolute beginners which will hopefully inspire you to find a local club to carry it on.
Each 60min lesson covers:
Low impact warm-up that can be taken at your own pace
Teaching of basic stances, hand, foot and blocking techniques in taekwondo and how they are used
Stretches to cool down
What you will need:
Clothes that are comfy to move about in

Women wanting to try out a martial art for the first time
